I just don’t have the brain power to put together a thoughtful post.
So, without further ado…
*Our insurance came through and has paid for all of Lovey’s medical expenses. Not consistently, but paid. Some procedures they paid 70%, some 90%, some 100%. I don’t know the logic and I don’t feel like messing with it. I just know it’s paid. 3 laser treatments, 1 excision surgery (removing 2 hemangiomas), and suture removal cost us roughly $2000 out of pocket. Considering each laser treatment itself cost about $3500 and the excision surgery well over $6000, the $2000 was gladly spent. I know the lady from the Children’s Hospital in Little Rock fought and fought insurance for us. I really want to send her a thank you gift.
*Hubby’s rental car while his is getting fixed is a Jetta. I’m not impressed. He wanted me to drive it to see if it is something I would like. Nah.
*I just finished a Snickers Ice Cream bar. Mmmmm….
*I ran into one of my favorite high school teachers Sunday. We talked and talked. I finally had to tell him I had to get back to work.
*I got another raise at work. Seriously, this company believes in raises. I can’t even tell you how many I’ve gotten. A raise for my start date each year, a raise for my Sr. Tech date each year, a raise just cause (several times), a bonus every check depending on business. It’s turned into a not so bad paying job. If I were to work full time, it would be about $10,000 more a year than I made as a drug and alcohol counselor, but that’s what comes with non-profit jobs I guess. Funny thing, my old boss is a customer.
*I’m still considering other career options, but still seriously considering fighting the fight with Biochemistry one.last.time. with that damn professor. This isn’t a class that you can take just anywhere. This one professor is the only professor that teaches it at the university I go to. Yes, there are numerous other univeristies in Memphis, but everything I’ve done is at U of M.
*Lovey starts a one day a week kids day out June 2. I think she will absolutely love it! There will be other Ry Ry’s to play with. (she calls babies Ry Ry) That’s her nickname so she thinks all babies/kids are called that. Silly girl.
*I made some yummy Chicken spaghetti tonight for dinner. I actually am starting to have a small collection of recipes. The internet is a wonderful thing.
*I’m done for tonight. Don’t let the bed bugs bite!

More Ry Ry’s to play with! How was Coach?

Now I’m curious…which “coach” did you see?
Yay for insurance. Tony and I are so thankful for ours, too. The little amount we have had to pay is NOTHING compared to the total bill. And bless that lady at ACH. They are so wonderful there!
My favorite recipe site is http://www.allrecipes.com. I love that I have my “recipe box” so I don’t have to go searching the next time I want to make a dish that I tried once and liked.

A huge relief on the medical bills being paid huh? But I know even if you did have to pay them out of pocket, so worth it, right?
Glad your job is big on raises heck way to go stay with that job!!!
Love that Lovey calls babies Ry Ry, that is so cute. And she will have fun on her “kids day out” and will look forward to it each week!!!

Was it Coach H? I loved him! So glad the insurance worked out. You don’t have to take it a U of M. Does STCC offer it?

even though I don’t cook…a good receipe website is http://www.copykat.com. It has a bunch of receipes from well known restaurants.

A Snickers ice cream bar sounds FABULOUS right now. I ate a ton of them while on maternity leave.
Also, hooray for insurance coming through!
